2011 Onwards

The Healthcare Center is based on the premise that it will eventually become self-supporting, after receiving an initial investment from the Golog Support Foundation. This is also in keeping with the inspiring life vision of the local people which is really socially responsible business, combining compassion and healthcare with entrepreneurship.

In 2011 plan to build an enclosure and drinkwater pump, buy new medicine and start a medicine laboratory.

Why Start a Medicine Laboratory?

Tibetan medicine is 100% biological and made from healing herbs and minerals. Starting a medicine laboratory will contribute to the following goals:

1. Financial independence. Self-sufficiency saves on purchasing medicine, and we’ll earn income by becoming a medicine supplier for the region. This is the first step in financial independence.
2. Providing opportunity for young nomads. Young nomads can find employment that is in keeping with their own traditions.
3. Sustaining Tibetan medicine in Tibet. Contributing to the continuance of traditional Tibetan medicine by educating young people in this art.
